English Pronunciation video, you\u2019re going to look at photos from our wedding!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A few months ago, David and I made a video where we announced our engagement to you guys. \u00a0 And you guys were so wonderful! \u00a0I think at least a thousand people said congratulations to us, it was really neat. \u00a0Thank you guys for that. \u00a0 I also had fun making a couple of videos leading up to the wedding from our wedding venue, where we studied real life American English. \u00a0So it was fun to have you guys be a part of the process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">And, I want to share my wedding photos with you in this video, and just, sort of, talk through the day, and talk about what happened.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&gt;&gt; Um, David, what would you say, what stands out to you the most? \u00a0About the day? \u00a0A favorite memory, maybe?<br \/>&gt;&gt; I think what stands out the most is just being there with so many people that are important to us.<br \/>&gt;&gt; Mm-hmm.<br \/>&gt;&gt; And being able to look out and see everybody\u2019s faces as we were standing up front.<br \/>&gt;&gt; One thing that we did that was a little bit different is, we did something called self-uniting, which means that there wasn\u2019t someone there to perform the ceremony. \u00a0It was just us. \u00a0And one of the things that was really cool about that is that we, we got to stand up and look out at everybody. \u00a0Usually in weddings, the couple stands in front and they face forward, and the person who is performing the wedding is looking out at everybody. \u00a0And, I didn\u2019t even think about that, but it was so moving and so powerful\u2026<br \/>&gt;&gt; Mm-hmm.<br \/>&gt;&gt; \u2026to be up there and just look at this sea of people that love you and support you. \u00a0It was awesome.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&gt;&gt; But, let\u2019s get to the most exciting part of this video, which is the wedding photos which our wonderful photographer took, so here it is: \u00a0our wedding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">When it came time for our pictures, it was raining. \u00a0That didn\u2019t stop us from having a good time, though. \u00a0We went to a coffee shop where we got a few shots indoors. \u00a0Then there was a little break in the rain, so we went outside and got some photos in an interesting alley next to the coffee shop. \u00a0Then we went over to the Delaware River, where there\u2019s a pier under the Ben Franklin Exercise\u00ae bridge, that\u2019s been turned into a park. \u00a0 And we took some photos out there. \u00a0This was about an hour or so before sunset. \u00a0Then we headed to the wedding venue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The wedding venue was in an old chocolate factory that\u2019s been converted into a photography studio, so it was just a big space. \u00a0And we hung a lot of lanterns. \u00a0David\u2019s sister and I and some friends made the flower arrangements. \u00a0The tables were set up so there were five really long tables, each that sat 24 people. \u00a0These are Wilburbuds, the chocolate that used to be made in this chocolate factory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">So we took some family photos. \u00a0This is my family, and this is David\u2019s family. \u00a0Very different in size. \u00a0We had a cocktail hour before the ceremony so we had a chance to catch up with old friends. \u00a0 Of course Tom and his wife Julie were there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Then it was time to start gathering people in for the ceremony, so all of our friends and family packed in. \u00a0It was short, so we didn\u2019t have chairs, we wanted everybody to be very close and tight. \u00a0So we exchanged our vows and rings. \u00a0As is tradition in the US, we had our first kiss after officially becoming married. \u00a0And then we decided to celebrate by singing some hymns. \u00a0So we passed out hymn sheets, and I led the group in singing. \u00a0My brother actually got some video of that, so here it is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[singing]<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Then the ceremony was over and there were lots of hugs. \u00a0And we signed the marriage license with our mothers as witnesses. \u00a0And it was time for dinner and toasts. \u00a0All four of our parents gave toasts before dinner. \u00a0It was really sweet to hear what they had to say. \u00a0So we all raised a glass and started in on dinner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">After dinner, two more people gave speeches, David\u2019s friend Mike, and my friend Sara, who has been in several Rachel\u2019s English videos. \u00a0They were wonderful speeches that made us laugh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Then we pointed out our friend Laura who had been the first person to set us up. \u00a0And everybody toasted her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Then it was time for the first dance. \u00a0And we quickly called our friends out to the dance floor to join us. \u00a0And then the party really began. \u00a0Everybody came out to dance. \u00a0Our aunts, our uncles, our parents. \u00a0David\u2019s family even did a flash mob, where they did a dance that they had been working on for months. \u00a0At first we were a little confused about what was going on. \u00a0But once we understood, we thought it was pretty great!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">We danced with our parents, and then it was time to cut the cake. \u00a0Typically at a wedding, the bride and groom each feed each other a little bit of cake. \u00a0Every once in a while, it gets a little out of hand. \u00a0Don\u2019t worry, I forgave him. \u00a0The rest of the night was really just about being with friends and family. \u00a0And of course, lots more dancing. \u00a0And we got to see our parents party as we\u2019d never seen them before. \u00a0We
